Mariposa Wellness Center was created in memory of a special place that existed during my childhood and someone who has walked the physical world who held emotional safety and security for me. I was inspired to give back to my community by providing a similar safe space. Mariposa Wellness Center is here to support your healing journey. Mariposa Wellness Center holds a therapeutic space for you to discuss comfortably about the struggles you are currently facing in your life. You are the expert of your experience; All of your experiences that include the hardships, the triumphs, and more importantly, the messages you have taken from your lived experiences and how they impact you today. I provide opportunities to compassionately notice areas of improvement without judgment within your relationships with others, yourself and with the world around you. Mariposa Wellness Center is located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Treatment Focus
Providing therapy services to preteens, teenagers, young adults, and adults in Nevada. The main focus is to help individuals make improvements in their lives by overcoming emotional struggles, restore healthy habits and/or thoughts, and gain awareness of their own strengths. Mariposa Wellness Center achieves this by providing a neutral safe space to listen to your concerns, and customizing a unique plan that is tailored to the identified problems and needs for each individual. My education, training and therapeutic skills will help you move forward and make improvements in your life.

About me
My name is Kristin Paragas. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and currently licensed in the state of Nevada. I feel honored to be in a position to provide healing experiences to process difficult emotions for individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, losses in their lives, everyday life challenges or major life transitions. I am a firm believer we hold the power to become aware of any unhealthy traits or patterns of ourselves, overcome emotional struggles or challenges, and change the ending of a story in our life we once knew. I provide an individual approach tailored to my client’s needs and culturally sensitive practice. I am certified in Parts and Memory Therapy, a therapy model used for a multitude of client issues, and an effective approach for trauma. Other types of therapeutic models I incorporate in my sessions are DBT informed practices, Attachment Based Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I completed my undergraduate studies at California State University of Fullerton and continued my higher education completing my Masters Degree in Social Work at University of Nevada Las Vegas. The clinical experiences I've had inspired me where I am at today. Most of my experiences included providing in home behavioral services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and providing support for their families, crisis intervention work, facilitating groups at a psychiatric facility, utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy informed practices working with adolescents at a Intensive Outpatient Program, and Partial Hospitalization Program, providing social, emotional and learning opportunities to students as a school social worker, and traveled to Peru to shadow other Social Workers and other Mental Health Professionals to gain knowledge and exposure of in depth cultural work. Las Vegas, Nevada is my home where I proudly provide therapy services to my community.
Here are fun facts about me outside of the therapy office: I love spending time with nature, foodie at heart, mindfully drinking a delicious hot tea or coffee, spending time with my dogs, watching baseball, traveling and creating memories with my love ones.
